Byodo is the state founded by Dua in between the Delfid and Yuko eras. It's capital (Neon) Centropolis serves as a bonus stage in The Asura Incident.
History[edit | edit source]
Byodo was founded by Dua sometime after the Yuko Wars with the ambition of being a republic without discrimination of any kind.
After Dua's death however, her life's work has been mythologized by her successors for propagandistic purposes and political corruption has led Byodo to become a totalitarian surveillance state. After various power struggles throughout this process, Byodo's political leadership decried Delfid's use of crystal-based magic as mysticism in favor of technology that can be rigorously studied and controlled. As such Byodo is generally highly advanced in traditional technology, which it uses to control it's citizens. The occasional artifact of Delfidian magic may be spotted in Byodo, although it's application is highly constrained.
Neon Centropolis[edit | edit source]
Neon Centropolis is the capital of Byodo. It's available as a bonus map in The Asura Incident
