Delfid
Delfid was a crystalline city in the orbit of Planet Weissblatt and home of the Enlightenment Crystal. It's destruction in 1999 WBC marks beginning and focal point of The Asura Incident.

Be it due to geological happenstance or due to their unique intelligence, Dolphins were the first species on Planet Weissblatt to discover the potential of crystal magic, culminating in the creation of the Enlightenment Crystal, a gigantic lotus-shaped crystal that could concentrate unprecedented amounts of magic into a single unified current expressing it's own consciousness.
This magical consciousness - named the Enlightenment - required personal lifestyle commitments of it's followers but imbued them with a higher consciousness and spiritual powers in return.
Once dolphin society became sufficiently crystal-centric, the Enlightenment expressed a need to advance the planet beyond it's current ongoing conflicts. The solution was Delfid - a city built around the Enlightenment Crystal and placed in the planet's orbit, away from all surface conflicts and destined to serve as a positive example for other societies to follow.
Due to it's omnipresence, neutrality and focus on openness, pacifism and education, Delfid became a central cultural touchstone for the entire planet throughout the following centuries.
The Asura Incident[edit | edit source]
(Full article: Enlightenment Crystal#The Asura Incident) In 1999 WBC, both Delfid and the Enlightenment Crystal got destroyed by Dr. Roy Asura after defeating Alex Felitas. Ever since, only a loose belt of crystalline rubble and the seven Chakra Shards remain.
Orbital Crystal Zone[edit | edit source]
Orbital Crystal Zone is the name given to the former ruins of Delfid following The Asura Incident. It's available as a playable campaign map during Phase 1 of the game.
